Jan 2026 - What's New & Improved

Discover the latest updates and enhancements across the OurProperty platform.

Our first platform updates for 2026 are live

January’s updates focus on compliance, multi-state operations and automated communication, with additional improvements supporting agencies managing Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).

Below is a snapshot of what’s new.

South Australia tenancy applications, aligned to Form A1

Following South Australian tenancy legislation changes effective from 1 January 2026, OurProperty’s online tenancy application process has been updated to align with the state-mandated Application Form A1.

The application flow now reflects the approved question set and structure, with applicants shown a preview of their completed Form A1 before submission. Property exclusions, rates and charges entered in the Marketing Hub are also displayed to applicants as part of the application process.

This ensures South Australian applications are collected and presented in the correct format, without agencies needing to change how they manage applications.

Inspection settings that reflect state requirements

Inspection settings can now be configured by state, allowing agencies to apply different timing and consent rules depending on local legislation.

These settings cover:

  • First routine inspection timing
  • Ongoing routine inspection periods
  • Consent requirements for sending entry notices

This update supports agencies managing properties across multiple Australian states, reducing the need for manual checks as portfolios grow.

Automated communication for unsuccessful applicants

Unsuccessful applicants are now notified automatically once a tenancy agreement is signed.

This notification confirms the application outcome and can include links to other available properties with the agency, providing clearer communication without additional manual follow-up from property managers.

Updates supporting Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)

January’s release also includes updates for agencies managing Specialist Disability Accommodation.

These include:

  • A new invoice email template designed for SDA rental types when invoicing the NDIA/NDIS
  • New owner end-of-month and month-to-date statement types for SDA properties

These updates support the specific invoicing and reporting requirements associated with SDA property management.

More improvements across the platform

This release also includes a range of smaller enhancements across payments, maintenance, inspections and reporting, continuing ongoing improvements to performance, accuracy and reliability across core workflows.
