Meet Jacinda Thompson – From Agency Operations to Implementation Consultant

We’re thrilled to introduce Jacinda Thompson, who joined OurProperty earlier this year as an Implementation Consultant.

We’re thrilled to introduce Jacinda Thompson, who joined OurProperty earlier this year as an Implementation Consultant. With nearly two decades of industry experience, Jacinda brings a deep understanding of the challenges property managers face — and how the right technology can make all the difference.

She’s not just joining us with tech expertise — she’s lived the day-to-day of property management, implemented OurProperty from the other side, and knows what it takes to help agencies thrive. We asked her a few questions to learn more about her journey.

How long have you been in the property management industry, and what roles have you held along the way?

“I’ve worked in the property management industry for 18 years, starting with a traineeship that quickly revealed a rewarding and consistently evolving path.

For over 10 years, I was part of Philip Webb Rentals, one of Victoria’s largest independently owned agencies. I progressed from Assistant Property Manager to Senior Property Manager, managing a large, high-performing portfolio.

As my expertise grew, I stepped into a series of leadership roles and helped oversee more than 6,000 rental properties. In the lead up to Phil’s retirement and my final three years within an agency, I served as the Operations Manager, leading teams, streamlining processes, and helping drive overall performance across the department.”

You used OurProperty at your previous agency — what was your first impression of the platform?

“Change is always challenging — until it isn’t. Helping implement OurProperty across such a large portfolio was a significant undertaking, and naturally, there was some initial resistance.

However, once the team began to see the platform’s benefits, particularly the time-saving features and improved workflow efficiency, momentum quickly shifted. Both team members and leadership recognised its value, which made adoption smoother.”

Were there any features or workflows in OurProperty that made a big difference to your day-to-day work?

“With over 100 reports available, we could easily track portfolio performance and uncover new efficiencies and competitive advantages.

Automated arrears management, along with effective payment plan tracking, led to a noticeable reduction in outstanding payments. Lease renewals and rent reviews became far more efficient, saving time for property managers, increasing revenue, and improving client satisfaction by ensuring timely actions.”

How did using OurProperty change the way your team worked, compared to the systems you used before?

“The team shifted to a more proactive mindset, focusing on adding greater value for clients rather than being solely absorbed by daily reactive tasks.”

What made you want to join the team at OurProperty?

“I’ve used a range of property management software, but many don’t offer the support needed for such a demanding role. What I really like about OurProperty is its clear vision and focus on making things easier for property managers.

It’s built with their needs in mind, and the ongoing improvements show that. I truly believe OurProperty is ahead of the game, and I was excited about the opportunity to work with a product I genuinely believe in.”

Now that you’re on the other side of the product, what are you most excited to contribute to?

“I’m excited to help make OurProperty the top property management software in the market.

It’s truly one of the best-kept secrets in the industry, and I’m eager to help unlock its full potential. As the platform continues to evolve, I love that I can help turn feedback into real improvements. My goal is to support property managers by teaching them the platform and how they can best ease their workload, allowing them to focus on building strong client relationships.”

Welcome to the team, Jacinda.

We’re lucky to have someone who’s walked the walk and is now helping others do the same. Her perspective is already helping shape how we onboard and support our clients, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
